Chelsea
ran out easy winners against Malaysia, in the Asia Cup,
4-1 .
In a mild day in Malaysia, (South East Asia) ,Chelsea
took the field with Wayne Bridge as the only new signing
playing.
Very early in the match Forssell had a chance to give
Chelsea the lead but failed after taken it with the
wrong foot, At the 30th minute finally Frank Lampard
put the Blues ahead after great touches from Cole and
Forssell, the goal was debatable, a very close offside
decision.
Moments later Malaysia got a leading goal when Terry
showed a weak defense. Forssell also had more chances
but still failed to score. At half-time the score stood
1-1.
In the 2nd half Chelsea played how everyone espected
them to, luckily in the 54th minute Ambrosio pulled
off a good save from a Malaysian free-kick ,after that
he had hardly anything to do.
In the 62nd minute Chelsea brought on Duff, Hasselbaink,
Gudjohnsen and young German foward
Sebastian Kniesse.
The 69th minute saw Hasselbaink score a 30yard rocket
after Duff laid him off and he took advantage of it.
Soon after Gudjohsen had a chance to go 3-1 ahead but
failed.
Few minutes later a 30yard shot from Duff was tipped
over by the Malaysian Goal-keeper.
It was the 82nd minute when Gudjohsen got his head to
a great run by Duff after he made a great overtake pass
of three players.
The 84th and Johnson got his head on the end of a Hasselbaink
corner to make it 4-1.
